Maktoum Bin Mohammed: Our Economy Creates Opportunities

Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance, emphasized that the UAE’s economy creates opportunities, instills hope, and establishes the UAE as a global model for empowering individuals and fostering innovation. This statement was made during the announcement of the Ministry of Finance’s new initiative, “Individual Sukuk,” aimed at enabling citizens and residents to invest in government treasury bonds and broaden the investor base in government financial instruments.

In a post on the X platform, His Highness stated, “The Ministry of Finance has launched the ‘Individual Sukuk’ initiative to allow citizens and residents to invest in government treasury bonds, contributing to an expanded investor base in government financial tools and enabling individuals to invest easily and securely.”

He further noted, “Through this initiative, we embody our leadership’s vision of empowering individuals, promoting a culture of savings, and developing government investment tools that enhance individual participation in economic growth, providing them with a direct opportunity to contribute to national development.” He affirmed, “Our economy creates opportunities and instills hope, establishing the UAE as a global leader in empowering individuals and fostering innovation.”
