As part of its initiative to celebrate knowledge and culture, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai has unveiled a special reception stamp for delegations attending the 9th edition of the “Arab Reading Challenge 2025.” This stamp will be included in their passports upon arrival at Dubai airports, recognizing their efforts in promoting a reading culture among the youth in the Arab world.

This stamp is a tribute to the largest initiative of its kind in the Arab region, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. The initiative aims to encourage reading among students across the Arab world, with a commitment from over one million students to read fifty million books annually during the school year.
Since its inception, this initiative has established itself as one of the most prominent knowledge and cultural projects in the region, rooted in His Highness’s vision that “reading is the beginning of a better future built on knowledge and understanding… nations that read hold the reins of progress.”
