His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has arrived in the Republic of Korea to participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, representing His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE.
This visit is in response to an invitation from President Yoon Suk-yeol of the Republic of Korea, aimed at enhancing economic cooperation with the member countries of the forum, as well as exploring opportunities to expand strategic partnerships across various crucial sectors.
Numerous leaders and heads of state from the member countries, which were established in 1989, are participating in the forum. It includes 21 global and regional economies that focus on promoting regional economic integration by supporting free trade, encouraging investment, and achieving sustainable development goals.
The member countries collectively represent about 40% of the world’s population and approximately 60% of the global GDP, making APEC a vital platform for regional collaboration to address global economic challenges.
