Dubai’s Aviation Partners Soar: Flydubai Secures 7 Agreements, Emirates Expands London Services

Flydubai has revealed the establishment of seven new interline agreements, thereby bolstering its international footprint and raising its total number of interline partners to beyond 40. This strategic initiative significantly broadens travel possibilities for flydubai customers, particularly in Europe and Asia, while enhancing seamless connectivity and international trade routes.

As a result of these partnerships, passengers flying with flydubai can now access over 30 destinations throughout Europe, thanks to collaborations with Aegean Airlines, Greece’s primary airline, and ITA Airways, Italy’s national carrier. Travelers heading to East and Southeast Asia can enjoy improved connectivity to more than 90 destinations through partnerships with Myanmar Airways International, as well as Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, and Sichuan Airlines.

These interline collaborations will provide travelers with a cohesive experience that includes single-ticket itineraries and through-checked luggage, highlighting flydubai’s ongoing efforts to enhance convenience and flexibility for its expanding customer base.

With a network of over 135 destinations, flydubai has expanded its reach to more than 300 global destinations through its increasing number of interline and codeshare agreements.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, the CEO of flydubai, shared his thoughts on this development:

“Since our inception in 2009, we have been dedicated to enhancing connectivity and facilitating the smooth flow of trade and tourism, which is why we are excited to announce the addition of seven new interline partners. These agreements will provide our passengers with greater flexibility and options when planning their journeys, allowing them access to our partners’ networks across significant markets in Asia and Europe. Additionally, this will increase the number of travelers who can access Dubai as a premier destination for tourism and business, reaffirming its role as a global aviation hub.”

Emirates to Launch 6 Additional Weekly Flights to London Heathrow Ahead of Winter

In another development, flydubai’s codeshare partner Emirates is gearing up for a bustling winter travel season by introducing six extra weekly flights to its current London Heathrow schedule, effective from 26 October 2025. This decision comes in light of increased demand and travel activity during the peak year-end period.

Emirates operates six daily flights to and from London Heathrow, employing its flagship Airbus A380. The addition of these six flights will bring the total to 48 weekly services, offering travelers enhanced flexibility and choices. The new flights will be operated using a Boeing 777-300ER, featuring over 350 seats in a three-class layout—First, Business, and Economy.

The new services will run daily except for Fridays and are strategically timed to coincide with prime departure and arrival periods. Overnight flights from London to Dubai will facilitate smooth onward connections to sought-after locations, including Durban, Phuket, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Jakarta.

Moreover, the extra flights will benefit passengers arriving in London from significant West Asian and Middle Eastern cities, including Ahmedabad, Lahore, Maldives, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bahrain, Dammam, and Riyadh, as well as major Chinese cities like Beijing and Shanghai.

Key flight specifications are as follows

  • Flight EK41: Departs Dubai at 13:40 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday; arrives at Heathrow at 17:40
  • Flight EK42: Returns from Heathrow at varying times based on the specific day, with all flights reaching Dubai the following morning
  • Thursday schedule: EK41 leaves Dubai at 12:55 and lands in London at 16:55; EK42 departs London at 21:20

All timings are local to their respective departure and arrival cities.

The simultaneous announcements by flydubai and Emirates emphasize Dubai’s strategic commitment to aviation-driven connectivity and solidify its position as a global travel and business hub. With thriving interline partnerships and increased flight frequencies to key international locations, both airlines are positioned for sustainable growth amid escalating global travel demand.
