Tragic Loss of Anunay Sood: Exploring His Bond With Apoorva Mukhija

The recent passing of travel influencer Anunay Sood has sent shockwaves through the YouTube community. Anunay, who was only 32 years old, passed away on November 6, 2025. His family and friends confirmed the heartbreaking news and requested privacy during this difficult time. Anunay was known for his vibrant personality and close friendship with fellow influencer Apoorva Mukhija, also known as The Rebel Kid.

Anunay and Apoorva’s friendship resonated with their fans, as the two often created engaging travel content together. From holiday adventures in Bali to vibrant nights of Garba in Gujarat, their shared camaraderie and humor captured the hearts of many. One of their videos, “That one couple who refuses to admit they are a couple,” even sparked dating rumors, although they clarified that they were just good friends. Apoorva had previously dated Utsav Dahiya, while Anunay was in a relationship with Shivani Parihar.

The duo’s strong friendship, however, faced challenges in the months leading up to Anunay’s death. Reports indicate that tensions arose following a promotional cruise trip where the influencers allegedly misbehaved and faced criticism from fellow passengers. Anunay’s vlog from that trip, which included controversial content, drew substantial backlash. Despite deleting the video, he stood by its content, which some viewers perceived as “theft for humor.” This incident marked a turning point in their relationship, as fans began to notice a shift: they stopped tagging each other in posts and eventually unfollowed each other on social media.

Compounding the situation, Apoorva’s ex-boyfriend, Utsav Dahiya, released a song with lyrics that accused her of cheating and manipulative behavior. Anunay’s public endorsement of this post fueled speculation about a rift between the two friends, which seemed to reach its breaking point in August 2025.

On November 6, Anunay’s family shared the tragic news of his death via his Instagram account, requesting understanding and privacy. They expressed their grief with a heartfelt statement, urging people to respect their need for space as they process this loss.

The community mourns Anunay Sood, reflecting on the joy he brought to many through his travel adventures and the friendships he forged. His untimely departure leaves a notable void, reminding us of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing connections with loved ones. Our condolences go out to Anunay’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
