Anticipation Builds as Top Stars Gear Up for Abu Dhabi T10 Kickoff

The 2025 Abu Dhabi T10 is set to dazzle from November 18 to 30 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium, bringing together an impressive lineup of cricketing legends. Highlights include top players from each of the eight franchise teams, such as Kieron Pollard, Thisara Perera, Angelo Mathews, Faf du Plessis, Sam Billings, Nicholas Pooran, and Moeen Ali.

This edition of the tournament will encompass 32 matches over 12 days, emphasizing the fast-paced nature of T10 cricket with teams competing in just 10 overs each. The format promises an exciting atmosphere with contests lasting around 90 minutes.

The tournament kicks off with a match between newcomers Quetta Qavalry and Northern Warriors, followed by the defending champions, Deccan Gladiators, taking on the UAE Bulls.

Kieron Pollard, representing the UAE Bulls, expressed his enthusiasm for the event. He noted the significance of local talent and his eagerness to collaborate with emerging players. “It’s special to be part of this tournament alongside them,” Pollard shared.

Captain of the Ajman Titans, Moeen Ali, also shared his excitement about participating in the prestigious event. He remarked on the UAE’s growth as a cricketing powerhouse, highlighting the high-quality facilities and growing passion for the sport.

Nicholas Pooran, the skipper of the Deccan Gladiators, echoed Ali’s thoughts, reminiscing about his long-standing connection with cricket in the UAE. He described the environment and the fans as integral to his experience, labeling the region a “home away from home.”

The tournament operates on a round-robin system in its initial stage, with all teams facing each other before the playoffs. Following 28 group matches, the top four teams based on points will progress to the playoff rounds.

The playoff schedule includes Qualifier 1 between the top two teams and an Eliminator clash among the third and fourth-placed teams on November 29. The next day, Qualifier 2 will see the winner of the Eliminator face off against the loser of Qualifier 1, culminating in the grand final to determine the champion.

Games are set to unfold at the Zayed Cricket Stadium, known for its fast-paced outfield and lively atmosphere, making it an ideal venue for the thrilling T10 format.
