Palash Sent to Hospital Following Smriti Mandhana’s Father’s Crisis

The wedding of Indian women’s cricket team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has taken an unexpected turn due to health concerns within her family. Celebrations were abruptly paused when her father experienced alarming symptoms reminiscent of a heart attack, prompting urgent medical attention. In a further complication, her fiancé, Palash Muchhal, was also hospitalized due to his deteriorating health.

Palash Muchhal was admitted to a private hospital following reports of a viral infection and increased acidity, according to NDTV. Fortunately, the situation was not deemed serious, and after receiving treatment, he was discharged and returned to the hotel to recuperate.

The wedding festivities for Smriti Mandhana were postponed after her father, Shriniwas Mandhana, complained of chest pain, which raised alarm among family members. He was swiftly transported to the nearest hospital, where he is currently hospitalized but stable and recovering.

Dr. Naman Shah, Director of Sarvhit Hospital, provided updates on Shriniwas’s condition, indicating that his cardiac enzymes were elevated, necessitating observation and potential further treatment, including an angiogram. The doctor noted that the episode occurred around 1:30 PM when Shriniwas experienced left-sided chest pain, described medically as angina. Symptoms and tests revealed elevated blood pressure, requiring ongoing monitoring and potentially linked to the stress of upcoming wedding preparations.

As for when Smriti and Palash will tie the knot, the recent health developments have led to an indefinite postponement of the wedding. Smriti’s manager, Tuhin Mishra, emphasized the importance of her father’s health, stating that the wedding will resume only once he is fully recovered. While Shriniwas’s condition is currently stable, no new wedding date has been set.

The primary concern for Smriti Mandhana and her family is the health of her father. The hope remains that both her father and fiancé will make a swift recovery.
