Dhanush and Kriti Sanon Bring Raanjhana to Life in Varanasi

Dhanush and Kriti Sanon recently made a memorable visit to Varanasi in promotion of their film “Tere Ishk Mein.” Their trip took place just before the movie’s release on November 28, 2025, and included a ceremonial performance of the Ganga aarti along with the film’s director, Anand L Rai.

As part of their visit, Dhanush and Kriti participated in various rituals, seeking blessings ahead of their film debut. Social media was abuzz with clips and images from their time in Varanasi, particularly one touching moment where Dhanush interacted with a young fan dressed as Lord Shiva. This meeting on the banks of the Ganges was heartwarming, with the trio capturing a memorable photo together before wrapping up their visit.

Dhanush’s demeanor during the trip echoed his character Kundan from “Raanjhanaa,” in which he prominently walks the streets of Varanasi. The nostalgic reference resonated with fans, igniting discussions online about the connection between Dhanush’s visit and the film’s iconic scenes. His portrayal vividly came to mind as he strolled through the same streets, evoking fond memories for many.

The couple’s appearance drew significant fanfare, with many expressing admiration for their looks. Kriti, adorned in a golden palazzo set paired with a green net dupatta, and Dhanush, who donned a traditional white kurta pyjama, captured a scene that fans described as “magical.” The positive feedback was overwhelming, with numerous comments praising their chemistry and appearance.

“Tere Ishk Mein,” directed by Anand L Rai, is produced under notable banners including T-Series and Colour Yellow Productions. The film features an intense romantic narrative, and its announcement coincided with the tenth anniversary celebration of “Raanjhanaa.” Alongside Dhanush and Kriti, the film is also available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

As anticipation builds for “Tere Ishk Mein,” the promotional activities, including the visit to Varanasi, are expected to have a significant impact on its reception. Fans are eager to see how the film captures the emotional intensity typical of Rai’s storytelling, and the connection to Varanasi adds a layer of cultural resonance.
