Actor Manoj Bajpayee is currently receiving acclaim for his role in the third season of The Family Man. During a recent discussion with comedian Kusha Kapila and Ravi Gupta, he openly addressed the prevalent insecurity among actors in Bollywood.
Jaideep Ahlawat shared a touching moment from his career, recalling how he was moved to tears after Bajpayee praised his performance in Paatal Lok season 1. He recounted a phone call from Bajpayee where they spoke at length, leaving a lasting impression on him. Bajpayee humorously mentioned his suggestion that Ahlawat should establish an acting school, indicating his admiration for Ahlawat’s talent.
Bajpayee continued the conversation by highlighting the reluctance of actors in the industry to commend one another. He pointed out the insecurity that often leads to a lack of mutual appreciation among peers. He admitted that even now, he reaches out to others seeking work, embracing his identity as a “born struggler.”
The camaraderie between Bajpayee and Ahlawat isn’t new; they previously collaborated on notable projects such as the acclaimed crime drama Gangs of Wasseypur and the historical war film Chittagong. In The Family Man season 3, Bajpayee returns as Srikant Tiwari, while Ahlawat portrays the antagonist, Rukma, a character that Srikant must confront.
