Tragic Incident: KGF 2 Co-Director Kirtan Nadagouda and His Wife Samrudhi

On a seemingly ordinary December morning, a tragic event shook the Nadagouda family to its core. Kirtan Nadagouda and his wife, Samrudhi Patel Nadagouda, are heartbroken after losing their four-year-old son in a devastating elevator accident.

Samrudhi Patel Nadagouda is a certified makeup artist known for her skills in bridal makeup. She actively shares her work and personal life on her professional and personal Instagram accounts. The couple celebrated eight years of marriage in May 2025, building a life together that now faces unimaginable loss.

Their son, Chiranjeevi Sonarsh K. Nadagouda, tragically passed away when the elevator malfunctioned, trapping him inside. According to reports from Kannada Prabha, the incident occurred suddenly, and efforts to rescue him were unfortunately too late. Family and friends describe Sonarsh as a vibrant and joyful child, and his untimely passing has left an irreplaceable void in their lives.

The news of this heartbreaking accident has reverberated throughout the Kannada film industry, with many expressing their condolences and offering support to the grieving parents. Prominent figures, including Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, took to social media to share their sympathies. He emphasized the sorrow felt by many and recognized the profound impact of this tragedy on Kirtan and Samrudhi.

In his message, Pawan Kalyan remarked, “The tragic death of director Sri Kirtan Nadagowda’s son is heartbreaking.” He acknowledged the deep sadness surrounding this loss and extended prayers for strength to the grieving couple, emphasizing the shock that has gripped the film community.

Kirtan Nadagouda is known for his work as a director in the Kannada film industry. He gained recognition as a co-director alongside Prasanth Neel on notable films like KGF and Salaar. He is also set to make his directorial debut in Telugu cinema with an upcoming horror film produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
