A police case has been filed against Lulu Mall and the event organizers following a chaotic incident during a song launch event in Hyderabad. The event featured the launch of “Sahana Sahana,” a song from the Telugu film “The Raja Saab.”
During the event on Wednesday, actress Nidhhi Agerwal was overwhelmed by a large crowd that gathered to take selfies and interact with her. Videos circulating on social media depict the moments when she was pushed and shoved by fans, raising concerns about her safety. The situation escalated quickly as her team struggled to shield her from the throng.
In response to the uproar, the police have initiated legal action against the mall management and organizers for conducting the event without proper authorization. According to officials, the gathering rapidly turned chaotic, with the actress showing visible signs of distress as her security team attempted to manage the crowd. An official from the KPHB police station confirmed that the case stemmed from inadequate event planning and safety measures.
The launch was initially scheduled for 5 PM but faced significant delays, a common occurrence in Telugu film events. Footage from the venue at the event’s commencement revealed a sizable crowd had already formed, which only grew larger as the launch time approached.
Despite the turmoil, several notable figures attended the event, including actors Prabhas and Riddhi Kumar, director Maruthi, producer TG Vishwa Prasad, and music composer Thaman. As for Nidhhi Agerwal, she has yet to issue a public statement regarding the incident, but the viral videos and public outcry have sparked discussions about the treatment of celebrities and the need for better event management to ensure their safety.
