The Dubai Invitational is shaping up to be a highly anticipated event, with Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen and Ryan Fox confirmed to compete at Dubai Creek Resort from January 15–18, 2026. This year’s tournament will feature an impressive lineup, including defending champion Tommy Fleetwood and five-time Major winner Rory McIlroy, creating a spotlight event for the Race to Dubai’s International Swing.

Neergaard-Petersen, at 27 years old, represents a fresh talent in European golf. His journey over the past two seasons has been remarkable, highlighted by three victories on the HotelPlanner Tour in 2024. This success secured him an automatic promotion to the DP World Tour and the Road to Mallorca Rankings title. His progression continued into 2025, culminating in a significant win at the Crown Australian Open, where he claimed his first DP World Tour title against seasoned competitor Cam Smith.

“I’m really looking forward to making my debut at the Dubai Invitational,” Neergaard-Petersen stated, expressing excitement about starting 2026 in the UAE with momentum from his recent success.

Contrastingly, Ryan Fox arrives as an established figure in golf, coming off the most prolific season of his career. The 38-year-old New Zealander marked 2025 as a breakthrough year in the United States, securing his first two PGA TOUR victories at the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic and the RBC Canadian Open, both achieved in playoff situations. Additionally, Fox has found success on the DP World Tour, with his latest victory at the 2023 BMW PGA Championship. He is now poised to chase a fifth DP World Tour title at Dubai Creek.

“Dubai has always been a special place for me to play golf,” Fox remarked. “After the year I’ve had, I’m excited to bring that form to Dubai Creek Resort.” He fondly recalled the inaugural event in 2024 and anticipates an exciting challenge ahead with a competitive field that includes top players like Fleetwood and McIlroy.

Tournament host Abdulla Al Naboodah expressed enthusiasm for the participation of Fox and Neergaard-Petersen, noting the growing prestige of the Dubai Invitational. “We are delighted to welcome Ryan Fox and Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen to the 2026 Dubai Invitational at Dubai Creek Resort,” he said. Their inclusion further elevates the tournament’s status, showcasing the high level of competition associated with the event.

The Dubai Invitational is not just about fierce competition; it also features a unique three-day Pro-Am, with the final day reserved for professional play. This biennial tournament blends the best of 60 DP World Tour professionals with 60 amateur players, reflecting the hospitality and vibrant culture of Dubai.
