Actor Vijay recently attended the audio launch of his upcoming film Jana Nayagan at Bukit Jalil Stadium in Malaysia. The event attracted significant attention on social media, with various videos and images capturing the excitement surrounding Vijay’s appearance. As he made his way to the stage, fans erupted in cheers, and Vijay greeted them with smiles and waves.
While on stage, Vijay was met with enthusiastic chants of “TVK,” referencing his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. Although he acknowledged the crowd’s support, Vijay playfully shook his head and gestured that the occasion wasn’t appropriate for political chants, much to the delight of his fans.
In a heartfelt moment at the event, Vijay’s mother, seasoned singer Shobha Chandrasekar, surprised attendees with a performance of her song “Kodambakkam Area,” accompanied by singer Tippu. Additionally, Lokesh Kanagaraj, who spoke highly of Vijay and the film’s crew, expressed his hopes for the film’s success, wishing Vijay well in his endeavors.
Director Atlee also took the stage, sharing a poignant analogy about relationships. He compared people in life to leaves, branches, and roots, emphasizing the importance of true friends who remain steadfast. In a show of camaraderie, Atlee concluded his speech with an affectionate embrace of Vijay.
The audio launch event featured various celebrities, including Pooja Hegde, Priyamani, music composer Anirudh Ravichander, lyricist Vivek, and choreographers Shobi Master and Shekar Master. This two-part celebration began with a tribute concert titled Thalapathy Thiruvizha, showcasing over 30 singers, including Vijay Yesudas and Andrea Jeremiah. Following the tribute, the audio launch included a live performance by Anirudh Ravichander.
Directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan, which translates to “the people’s leader,” features a strong ensemble cast, including Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Priyamani, and Prakash Raj. The film is expected to have a worldwide theatrical release on January 9, 2026, aligning with the Pongal festival. This film marks a significant point in Vijay’s career, as he recently announced his entry into politics with the establishment of his political party.
