Actor Vijay recently attended the audio launch of his upcoming film Jana Nayagan at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Malaysia. The event attracted considerable attention on social media, with numerous videos and photos capturing the excitement of fans. Vijay entered the stage to a warm welcome, smiling and waving at the audience.
During the event, fans began chanting “TVK,” referring to Vijay’s political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. While Vijay initially smiled at the chants, he gestured to indicate that the occasion wasn’t suitable for political expressions, eliciting laughter from the crowd.
In a heartfelt moment, Vijay’s mother, singer Shobha Chandrasekar, surprised him with a performance of “Kodambakkam Area,” accompanied by the singer Tippu. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj extended his best wishes to Vijay and the Jana Nayagan team, expressing hopes for the film’s success.
Director Atlee also took the stage, offering a poignant analogy about relationships. He stated that while some people are transient, like leaves, true friends are like roots that remain steadfast. Atlee concluded his speech with an affectionate hug for Vijay, emphasizing their close bond.
The audio launch was part of a two-part event dubbed Thalapathy Thiruvizha. This tribute concert featured performances by over 30 singers, including well-known artists like Vijay Yesudas and Andrea Jeremiah. The festivities were marked by a live performance from music composer Anirudh Ravichander.
Jana Nayagan is directed by H Vinoth and features an impressive cast, including Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Priyamani, and Prakash Raj. The film is set to be released theatrically on January 9, 2026, aligning with the Pongal festival celebrations. It will also be known as Jan Neta in Hindi. This project marks a significant transition for Vijay, as he embarks on his political journey following the announcement of his political party last year.
