Hina Khan Faces Health Issues Amidst Mumbai’s Alarming Air Quality

Mumbai is currently facing alarming air quality issues, which have begun to affect its residents significantly. Actor Hina Khan recently disclosed her struggle with the city’s deteriorating air quality, revealing that it has caused her health problems, including persistent coughing and difficulty breathing.

In an Instagram Story, Hina highlighted Mumbai’s poor Air Quality Index (AQI) by sharing a screenshot showing its concerning levels. She expressed her frustration with the air quality, stating that it is making her limit outdoor activities and has left her feeling unable to breathe comfortably.

This isn’t the first time concerns about air pollution have been raised in Mumbai. Actor Saiyami Kher has previously voiced her alarm, noting that even simple activities like running have become challenging in the polluted environment. She observed that many people in the city are experiencing similar coughing spells, indicating a broader issue that demands attention.

Recent data from the Central Pollution Control Board reveals a significant rise in Mumbai’s AQI, reaching 140 and classified as ‘moderate.’ This increase in pollution levels has been noted at multiple monitoring stations, suggesting a widespread problem rather than isolated incidents. The air quality has worsened compared to last week, when the AQI readings fluctuated between 101 and 108. Certain areas, such as Byculla, recorded even higher levels, with an AQI of 194.

Civic officials have been monitoring the situation closely. One official from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation attributed the increased pollution to stagnant winds preventing pollutant dispersion, rather than new emissions. Despite ongoing monitoring efforts, many staff members have been reassigned to election duties, complicating the response to the air quality issue.

On a different note, Hina Khan continues to make strides in her career. She has appeared in various popular television shows and participated in reality series such as “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8” and “Bigg Boss 11.” Recently, she was featured in the web series “Griha Laxmi” and has been open about her health challenges post-filming. Hina also took a significant step in her personal life by marrying her longtime partner, Rocky Jaiswal, last year.
