Kangana Ranaut is maintaining a dynamic presence in both politics and the film industry. Recently, she resumed her acting career, starting work on her next project, Bharat Bhhagya Vidhhaata.
The actress shared an update with her fans on Instagram, posting a video from her production company, Manikarnika Films. The footage captures Kangana arriving on set and engaging with director Manoj Tapadia as they discuss the production details and review the script. She expressed her excitement for being back on set with the caption, “Nice to be back on film set.” The clip features her in a light-colored suit, immersed in conversation while holding paperwork.
Details about the film’s storyline remain largely undisclosed. However, when it was announced in 2024, it was indicated that Kangana would play a central role, portraying inspiring stories of ordinary individuals and their remarkable accomplishments.
Kangana’s recent work includes the film Emergency, which she directed and co-produced. The political drama showcases her as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and covers the significant period of Emergency in India from 1975 to 1977. Despite the high profile of the project, the film underperformed at the box office and featured actors like Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, and Milind Soman.
In addition to her current film projects, Kangana is set to expand her horizons with a Hollywood debut. She will star in the horror film Blessed Be the Evil, produced by Lions Movies. The project pairs her with actors Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone, directed by Anurag Rudra, who co-wrote the screenplay alongside Gatha Tiwary. The story follows a Christian couple dealing with grief after a miscarriage as they move into a haunted farm, leading to tests of their love and faith against a dark presence. The film will be showcased to international buyers at the upcoming Cannes Film Market.
