During a recent appearance on The Ok Sweetie Show, Acharia shared insights about the initial reactions to Chopra’s potential in Hollywood. Many were dismissive of the idea of a “brown Bollywood star” making it big in America, with people labeling the concept as unrealistic. Despite the negative feedback, Acharia remained undeterred, drawing inspiration from other industry success stories.
Reflecting on her experiences, Anjula recalled a moment of doubt when she consulted Jimmy Iovine, co-founder of Interscope Records. He reassured her by sharing that even he faced skepticism when launching Eminem, underlining the unpredictability of the entertainment industry.
Priyanka Chopra transitioned to Hollywood with a lead role in the series Quantico. This marked her first significant step on the global stage, after which she starred in the action-comedy Baywatch alongside stars like Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.
