Ruuska Dominates Egypt Golf Series with Impressive 62 Score

Parasakthi,” a historical political drama featuring Sivakarthikeyan, was released in theaters on January 10. Despite mixed reviews, the film has shown resilience at the box office, benefitting from a boost in ticket sales coinciding with the Pongal holiday.

According to recent data from Sacnilk, “Parasakthi” earned ₹5.10 crore on its sixth day, reflecting an uptick in its revenue. Over its first week, the film’s total collection has reached ₹35.85 crore, illustrating its ability to attract audiences during the weekdays as well.

Initially, “Parasakthi” was poised for a box office showdown with Vijay’s much-anticipated “Jana Nayagan,” which was anticipated to be the actor’s last project before entering politics. However, “Jana Nayagan” faced a last-minute release delay due to certification issues, similar to the challenges “Parasakthi” encountered when the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) granted clearance just before its release.

Directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Aakash Bhaskaran from Dawn Pictures, “Parasakthi” features a versatile cast that includes Dev Ramnath, Prithvi Rajan, Guru Somasundaram, Basil Joseph, and Papri Ghosh. Set in 1960s Madras, the narrative centers around two brothers engaged in the anti-Hindi imposition agitation in Tamil Nadu, an important historical context that drives the film’s storyline.

In addition to its main cast, “Parasakthi” includes performances by Sreeleela, Ravi Mohan, and Atharvaa. Recently, the movie’s cast had the opportunity to join Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Pongal celebrations in Delhi. Sivakarthikeyan expressed his excitement about the event, stating that such celebrations symbolize national unity. This moment not only highlights the film’s cultural relevance but also showcases the cast’s connection with significant events in India.
