French DJ and music producer DJ Snake recently announced the cancellation of his highly anticipated tour in India, originally scheduled for February. The decision comes after he revealed on social media that he has been dealing with a health issue that requires surgery.
In his statement, DJ Snake, whose real name is William Grigahcine, expressed the difficulty of this decision. He explained that after consulting with his doctors, it became clear that he could no longer postpone the necessary procedure, which will take place in early February. Following the surgery, he expects to need a month to recover fully.
This cancellation means that DJ Snake will miss all his scheduled performances, including the planned six-city tour across Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR. The tour was initially set to kick off in September last year but was postponed to February 2025 due to logistical issues before being rescheduled again.
DJ Snake has established a strong connection with audiences in India, having performed there multiple times before. His shows are known for their electric atmosphere, where fans eagerly sing along to his hits. The artist gained fame with chart-topping tracks like “Turn Down for What,” “Lean On,” “Let Me Love You,” and “Taki Taki,” showcasing his influence in contemporary music.
His recent album, “Nomad,” added to his impressive discography, reinforcing his status as a cultural icon. Collaborations with prominent artists such as Lil Jon, Selena Gomez, Cardi B, Justin Bieber, and Major Lazer have further cemented his position in the industry. DJ Snake is hopeful about returning to the stage soon, as indicated in his heartfelt message to fans, assuring them of a comeback that will be stronger than before.
