Dhurandhar 2 Budget Revealed: Will Ranveer’s Hamza Ali Mazari Meet His Fate?

Aditya Dhar’s film Dhurandhar has garnered significant attention since its theatrical release on December 5, 2025. The film is inspired by real-life events and has now made its way to Netflix as of January 30, 2026. With anticipation building for the sequel, set to drop in March 2026, fans are eager to learn more about what’s in store. Recent reports have also highlighted the film’s budget, which may raise eyebrows.

The budget for Dhurandhar Part 2 has not been officially revealed, sparking curiosity among fans. The first installment reportedly had a budget ranging between Rs. 250 crore and Rs. 300 crore. Given its status as a blockbuster, expectations were high for the sequel. Some theories suggest that Part 2 might not have incurred any costs at all, which is a surprising claim that has generated discussions across various platforms.

According to an NDTV Hindi report, the teaser for Part 2 is already complete. Initially, Aditya Dhar intended for the story to be one continuous film. However, due to its lengthy duration, the project was split into two parts, with only a three-month gap between releases. There is speculation that since Part 2 is nearly finished, it could have been produced without a budget, although this remains unverified and is merely an assumption.

Ranveer Singh portrays the character of ‘Hamza Ali Mazari’ in Dhurandhar Part 2. This film is not a biographical account but instead draws from real-life scenarios and characters. In the story, ‘Hamza’ is recruited by Ajit Doval to act as a spy in Lyari, Pakistan. The complexities of his past play a critical role in the plot, especially concerning his conflict with a Pakistani gangster named ‘Rehman Dakait,’ whom he killed in the previous film. The sequel will further explore Hamza’s mission to locate ‘Bade Sahab.’

Reports indicate that ‘Hamza’ was mentioned by Captain Jaskirat Singh Rangi, an undercover operative with his own backstory of resentment. The narrative reveals how Hamza struggles with his haunting past. Part 2 is expected to unveil more about his character’s history, with a release scheduled for March 2026. There are speculations that Hamza may meet his demise by the film’s conclusion, echoing a similar fate portrayed in Aditya Dhar’s earlier film, URI: The Surgical Strike, which involved the character Captain Jaskirat Singh Rangi.

With the countdown on for Dhurandhar Part 2, excitement continues to build among fans. The anticipation surrounding the film’s developments, including the potential fate of Hamza, keeps discussions alive in the lead-up to its release.
