The reality show “The 50” premiered on February 1, featuring a mix of YouTubers, actors, and reality TV stars. Contestants live together, competing in various tasks for their survival. Recently, a heated confrontation unfolded during a task, involving YouTuber Sagar Thakur, known as Maxtern, who expressed his frustrations regarding fellow contestant Elvish Yadav.
Maxtern’s remarks about Elvish went viral shortly after being aired. In his rant, he stated his concerns about Elvish’s friends, expressing a desire to prevent them from taking credit for any potential follower gains they might claim from physical confrontations. He emphasized that their social media standing was not impressive and looked to diminish their credibility in the online space.
Additionally, Maxtern critiqued Elvish for using a “mother card” in discussions about personal conflicts, accusing him of orchestrating negative publicity against others instead of addressing issues directly. He made veiled threats about what would happen if they ever confronted one another, asserting that Elvish’s perceived bravado was unfounded.
The altercation escalated when Maxtern entered the house, only to be physically confronted by Archit Kaushik, one of Elvish’s friends, who slapped him, leading to Maxtern falling to the ground. This incident, alongside other warnings from Elvish’s friends, highlighted the rising tensions within the show.
Elvish Yadav found himself embroiled in controversy earlier this year when a video surfaced, allegedly showing him attacking Maxtern along with friends. This incident led to a police report against Elvish. In a twist, he claimed that Maxtern had threatened him and his family, arguing that the allegations were a ploy for attention and increased followers. Ultimately, the two resolved their conflict, labeling it a misunderstanding after intervention from fellow contestant Rajat Dalal.
“The 50” has already witnessed its share of drama, with three contestants eliminated: YouTuber Vanshaj Singh, Saurabh Ghadge, and stand-up comedian Sumaira Shaikh. Currently, the show features 47 contestants still vying for success. It is accessible on JioHotstar and Colors TV, continuing to capture the audience’s attention with its unfolding interactions and competitions.
