Ranbir Kapoor recently collaborated with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga in the film “Animal,” which has become a significant box office hit. Following this success, a sequel titled “Animal Park” is already in the pipeline. The duo interacted with fans during a screening in Japan, where they expressed their enthusiasm for reuniting for the follow-up project, set to release on February 13.
In his remarks, Ranbir mentioned his eagerness to return to the set with Sandeep and delve deeper into the character’s journey. He emphasized that the story continues with a new character, suggesting that the filmmaker had a clear vision for the sequel even while working on the first installment. This collaborative dialogue between them fuels their creativity as they explore various ideas for the upcoming film.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga also shared his thoughts on the sequel. He stated, “Animal Park will start soon once I finish my current project,” indicating that production is planned to begin in mid-2027. He revealed that the sequel will introduce more animal characters, as the story will focus on a conflict between two brothers who bear a striking resemblance to each other. This intriguing premise is why he chose the title “Animal Park.”
The original “Animal,” released in 2023, is characterized by its hyper-violent action and a complex father-son relationship. Ranbir portrayed Ranvijay Vijay Singh, a character deeply influenced by the emotional distance from his father, played by Anil Kapoor. The film was a commercial triumph, grossing over ₹900 crore worldwide.
In addition to working on “Animal Park,” Ranbir Kapoor is engaged in several other projects. He is currently involved in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Love & War,” a period drama set in the 1960s, alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, which is anticipated later this year. He is also set to portray Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s “Ramayana: Part One,” further showcasing his versatility as an actor.
