Akshay Kumar has introduced three promising contestants on the upcoming episode of “Wheel of Fortune.” The participants include Manav Khosla, an HR consultant from New Delhi; Ashu Jain, a fitness influencer from Dehradun; and Nishant Chobey, a chef hailing from Jharkhand.
During the episode, Akshay noticed how happy Manav seemed and inquired about the secret to his joy. Manav humorously responded, “I am happy because I listen to my wife!” which sparked laughter among the audience.
The playful banter continued as Akshay asked about Manav’s wife and jokingly inquired if he really is her “gulam.” Manav’s wife, Mukta, clarified in a light-hearted manner that her husband is not just her “gulam,” but also her “sirtaj,” or crown. She revealed that Manav takes orders both at home and at his workplace, where he works for her company, adding a layer of humor to their exchange.
Akshay praised Manav for his good fortune in having such a talented wife. Mukta further entertained the audience by sharing details about Manav’s vibrant fashion sense and his passion for various music genres, describing him as a party enthusiast who demands her company wherever he goes.
The conversation took an unexpected twist when Mukta jokingly mentioned that she is on the lookout for a “girlfriend” for Manav, someone who shares his enthusiasm for music and social events. This revelation shocked Akshay, who reacted dramatically, asking why his ears weren’t bleeding from the surprise.
Mukta then humorously requested Akshay to help find someone suitable for her husband, to which Akshay playfully retorted, expressing disbelief that he was being asked to take on such a task.
This season marks Akshay’s return to television after nearly ten years as the host of Sony TV’s “Wheel of Fortune.” The show, an Indian adaptation of the globally-renowned game format, features contestants spinning a giant wheel to win prizes and solving word puzzles. It premiered on January 27 on Sony TV and SonyLIV.
On the cinematic front, Akshay is set to appear in the film “Bhooth Bangla,” directed by Priyadarshan and featuring stars like Paresh Rawal and Wamiqa Gabbi in leading roles.
