Dipika Kakar Completes Surgery for Stomach Cyst, Husband Provides Update

Dipika Kakar, a well-known actress, received a diagnosis of a cancerous tumor the size of a tennis ball in May 2025. Following a significant surgery in June 2025, she has been undergoing ongoing treatment, during which 22% of her liver was removed. Recently, Diika’s husband Shoaib Ibrahim shared an update regarding her health after she was discovered to have developed a 13mm cyst on her stomach.

Shoaib detailed that after attending a birthday party on February 20, 2026, Dipika’s health declined. She experienced mild stomach pain for two days, leading them to seek medical attention. A CT scan revealed the cyst, necessitating an operation. Shoaib assured fans through his social media that the procedure was successful and that Dipika was recovering, albeit experiencing some discomfort.

In an earlier vlog, Shoaib mentioned that aside from the cyst, Dipika’s health was stable, easing prior concerns. They were worried after previous medical advice indicated that her past aggressive tumors posed a risk of recurrence. The cyst was detected early, despite not showing up in a December 2025 PET scan. He explained that the treatment plan would involve burning the cyst rather than requiring major surgery, allowing for a shorter hospital stay of 3-4 days.

As for her mental and emotional challenges, Dipika has expressed the difficulties of facing health issues, including her recent shift to immunotherapy after stopping targeted therapy. She reflected on the impact of her health on personal moments, like their wedding anniversary, acknowledging the emotional toll it takes on her and her family, especially her son, Ruhaan.

Dipika highlighted the unpredictability of battling health crises such as cancer. Although doctors had prepared them for potential challenges, each new development brings anxiety for her family. She emphasized the heavy emotional burden of living with chronic health concerns, stressing the ongoing struggle involved.

The community continues to rally around Dipika Kakar, wishing her a swift and complete recovery as she navigates these challenging circumstances.
