Australia Bows Out of T20 World Cup with Victory Against Oman

Comedian Zakir Khan has recently addressed the rumors surrounding his upcoming hiatus, clarifying the reasons for his break. Initially linked to health concerns, he emphasizes that this time off will also allow him to focus on creative projects he has neglected over the years.

During a recent event in Hyderabad, Zakir spoke candidly about the potential length of his hiatus, indicating it could last several years—possibly extending until 2028 or even 2030. His main motivation, he stated, is to prioritize his health and attend to pressing personal matters that require his attention.

In a subsequent appearance at the Spoken Fest, Zakir elaborated on his plans, explaining that his break also aims to facilitate an overdue writing process. He expressed frustration over misreported details regarding his health, asserting that while he does experience some minor health issues, they are not as severe as suggested. He pointed out the inaccuracy of some media portrayals, noting that speculation is often based on unreliable sources.

Zakir has previously discussed the toll that constant touring has taken on his health. His rigorous schedule over the past decade, which included frequent shows, early flights, and inconsistent meals, has led to significant physical strain. Despite facing health challenges for nearly a year, Zakir continued to perform due to his commitment to his craft and the demands of his career.

As he prepares for this break, Zakir’s current tour, “Papa Yaar,” remains a focal point. He has been actively performing as part of this endeavor, traveling across India and internationally throughout late 2025 and into 2026. Major stadium dates have been announced in Mumbai, with plans to pause live performances after mid-2026, signaling a clear commitment to his well-being and creative aspirations moving forward.
