The latest results for the blockbuster film “Dhurandhar 2” have been reported, showcasing promising box office performance. By the end of Friday, the film surpassed the impressive ₹700 crore milestone.
As of 9 PM on March 27, “Dhurandhar 2” collected ₹33 crore on its second Friday, leading to a total net collection of ₹707 crore within India. These figures are expected to be updated later in the evening as the final numbers come in.
In addition to its impressive domestic performance, the film has grossed ₹1,088 crore worldwide within its opening week. This significant achievement solidifies its status as one of the top blockbusters in Indian cinema history. The film, featuring Ranveer Singh, has accumulated ₹814 crore in India and ₹274 crore in international markets over its first eight days.
The filmmakers noted that “Dhurandhar 2” has shattered multiple records, including the swiftest film to earn ₹1,000 crore globally and the highest opening weekend for an Indian movie. The film also exhibited remarkable consistency throughout its release week.
The opening weekend was particularly strong, with an astounding ₹761 crore gross worldwide in just four days. Audience interest remained high, with collections of ₹64 crore on Monday, ₹58 crore on Tuesday, ₹49 crore on Wednesday, and ₹53 crore on Thursday.
Notably, the film became the first Indian production to accumulate ₹100 crore in a single day in one language, achieving ₹145 crore in its combined paid previews and opening day earnings.
“Dhurandhar 2,” a sequel to the hit “Dhurandhar,” debuted on March 19 and is available in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The star-studded cast includes R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, further bolstering its appeal.
Set against the backdrop of Karachi’s Lyari neighborhood, the story focuses on Hamza Ali Mazari’s rise within the underworld while exploring the journey of Jaskirat Singh Rangi, who transitions into a covert operative.
