Nabil Gabol Promises To Create His Own Dhurandhar Following Plot Twist

Pakistani politician Nabil Gabol has recently faced significant online trolling following the release of the film Dhurandhar 2. He claims that the character Jameel Jamali is modeled after him and has expressed his intention to produce a counter-movie to challenge the alleged inaccuracies represented in Aditya Dhar’s film.

In a recent interview, Gabol outlined his concerns regarding the portrayal of Jameel, played by Rakesh Bedi, stating that the character’s backstory is problematic. He highlighted that he served as the Member of the National Assembly (MNA) for Lyari at the time the events depicted in the film supposedly took place. When questioned about the character’s affiliation with R&AW, he suggested that Indian filmmakers resort to such narratives because they cannot compete with Pakistan militarily.

Gabol asserted, “The truth is that they cannot fight Pakistan or the Pakistani Army, so they created a movie instead.” He further emphasized that this film has unintentionally brought international attention to Lyari, and he believes that the local community remains resilient and unaffected by these portrayals. He reacted negatively to Bedi’s comments, who claimed his role was a general representation of Pakistani politicians, arguing that in 2007, he was indeed the MNA of Lyari.

Addressing the trolling he has encountered, Gabol stated, “I see a lot of trolling on Indian social media asking why Nabil Gabol has gone silent.” He vowed to respond emphatically, drawing parallels to military actions involving Pakistani forces, suggesting that he too would reveal the truth about Lyari.

In response to these controversies, Gabol announced plans to create a film of his own, tentatively titled Lyari Ka Gabbar, although he indicated it would not be directly linked to Dhurandhar 2.

Previously, Gabol had voiced his dissatisfaction regarding his representation when the first Dhurandhar film was released. Expressing doubts about pursuing legal action on an international level due to financial constraints, he focused on criticizing his depiction in the film. He expressed frustration that the portrayal failed to capture his true persona, stating, “I was very audacious. But they haven’t shown me the way I was.”

The Dhurandhar series features Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy infiltrating gang dynamics in Lyari, alongside a cast that includes Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and others. The second installment of the series has achieved remarkable commercial success, earning over ₹1000 crore worldwide within just a week of its release.
