Alana Paolucci from ‘Love Island USA’ Gets Engaged to Sebastian Sartor

Veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha has expressed strong support for his daughter Sonakshi Sinha’s recent marriage to Zaheer Iqbal. He praised the couple as “made for each other,” highlighting that their union is both lawful and rooted in mutual happiness.

Sonakshi and Zaheer tied the knot in 2024 during an interfaith ceremony under the Special Marriage Act, which allows individuals of different religions to marry without altering their faiths. Their wedding attracted media attention, largely due to their celebrity status and the ongoing discussions surrounding interfaith marriages in India.

In a recent interview with News18, Shatrughan addressed concerns raised about the marriage, including the interfaith aspect and his family’s residence, ‘Ramayana.’ He reasserted that he is pleased with the union and dismissed any negativity, emphasizing the joy his family feels.

He stated, “Bilkul theek thaak hai. Hum bahut khush hai. Sonakshi ki jo shaadi hui hai, made for each other lagte hain dono.” (Everything is fine. We are very happy. Sonakshi is married; they both seem made for each other.) His statement underscored his endorsement of their relationship and compatibility.

Shatrughan emphasized Sonakshi and Zaheer’s autonomy as adults who can make their own choices. He noted, “Bachche jawan hai, bachche adults hai. Agar woh khush hai, toh miya-biwi raazi toh kya karega Qazi.” (The children are young, the children are adults. If they are happy, then what can the Qazi do?) His support for them is unwavering, likening it to being “like a rock.”

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s love story began around 2016 when they met at a party hosted by Salman Khan, who acts as a mentor to both. Their friendship blossomed over time as they traveled in similar social and professional circles. By 2017, reports indicated that they were dating, though they maintained a degree of privacy in the early stages.

Their relationship gradually became more public, marked by shared vacations and lighthearted interactions on social media. Public appearances together hinted at their connection, but they refrained from making official statements about their relationship for several years.

Their bond gained further visibility when they worked together in the 2022 film Double XL, where their on-screen chemistry mirrored their real-life rapport. The couple cultivated a reputation for their playful and supportive dynamic, regularly sharing candid moments online. After nearly seven years together, their commitment culminated in marriage in 2024, reflecting a deep understanding and shared journey.
