Vicky Kaushal Praises Aditya Dhar’s Talent and Celebrates Dhurandhar 2

Dhurandhar The Revenge” has made a significant impact at the box office since its theatrical release on March 19. Directed by Aditya Dhar and featuring Ranveer Singh in a prominent role, the spy thriller has garnered widespread acclaim from audiences and social media influencers alike. Actor Vicky Kaushal, who previously collaborated with Dhar on “Uri: The Surgical Strike,” has expressed his delight at the film’s reception.

During the inaugural International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD) 2026, Kaushal commented on the film’s success, stating, “I’m just very happy to see how Dhurandhar is working. I loved the first part. I’m yet to watch the second part. But Aditya is a great filmmaker who assembled a talented cast. I’m thrilled that everyone is loving the film so much.” His appreciation highlights the positive buzz surrounding the film and its creators.

The actor also spoke about the significance of hosting a film festival in Delhi, sharing, “It feels great that we are organising a film festival here. We often travel to international festivals, but now it’s time for the world to come to us. I think it’s about time that we organise such a significant festival in a city like Delhi. This is a very good omen for us.”

“Dhurandhar 2” serves as a sequel to the successful “Dhurandhar,” which premiered in December 2025. The first installment showcased the character Hamza infiltrating a Baloch gang in Lyari, Pakistan, to dismantle a terrorist organization. The sequel explores the backstory of Jaskirat’s transformation into Hamza due to challenging circumstances. The film reintroduces a stellar cast, including Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, and Danish Pandor, who all reprised their roles.

The initial “Dhurandhar” achieved remarkable success, grossing ₹1300 crore globally and continuing to draw audiences in theaters three months after its debut. Expectations for the sequel are high as it aims to perform even better.

The International Film Festival of Delhi is coordinated by the Delhi Tourism & Transport Development Corporation (DTTDC) in collaboration with the Government of Delhi, with KPMG acting as a knowledge partner. Running from March 25 to 31, the festival will take place across multiple venues in New Delhi, further showcasing the city as a hub for cinematic arts.
