Udaybir Sandhu’s performance in the film “Dhurandhar The Revenge” has captured audience attention, particularly for his role as Pinda. Despite having a limited number of scenes, viewers have commended his strong screen presence, marking a significant moment in his acting journey. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Udaybir expressed his gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the challenges faced by outsiders trying to break into the film industry.
Reflecting on his career, Udaybir shared, “Mujhe around 10 saal ho gaye. Pehle I used to work as a model in Delhi…” He detailed his gradual transition to Mumbai, from modeling and auditioning to gaining comfort in front of the camera. He indicated that he has gone through numerous auditions for television, films, and web series, noting the effort it requires over the years.
He acknowledged the difficulty of waiting for an opportunity as an outsider. “Wahi keh sakte hain ki it has been a while, because as an outsider thoda mushkil hota hain,” he remarked. Udaybir conveyed that the journey can often feel prolonged as one waits for that crucial opening to enter the industry.
The film’s intense scenes, particularly the confrontation between Udaybir’s Pinda and Ranveer Singh’s Hamza, have stirred significant online buzz. Their face-off escalates into a gripping fight, illustrating Hamza’s struggle to maintain his identity as a spy in Pakistan. Udaybir’s notable line, “Ghar di yaad nahi aayi tujhe, Jassi?” has resonated with the audience, becoming a trending catchphrase on social media platforms.
“Dhurandhar The Revenge” serves as a sequel to last year’s successful film “Dhurandhar,” which debuted in December 2025. The narrative focuses on Hamza’s infiltration of a Baloch gang in Pakistan, aiming to dismantle a terrorist group. This sequel further explores the backstory of Jaskirat’s transformation into Hamza, driven by the circumstances he faces.
The film features returning cast members such as Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, and Danish Pandor, among others. With the original “Dhurandhar” earning ₹1300 crore globally and continuing to attract audiences in theaters months post-release, the sequel is anticipated to achieve even greater success.
