Udaybir Sandhu Shares Insights on Dhurandhar 2’s ‘Pinda’ and Ranveer Singh

Udaybir Sandhu, known for his memorable role in the film “Dhurandhar 2,” has recently gained attention for a particular dialogue: “Ghar ki yaad nahi aayi, Jassi?” This scene, featuring his character Pinda, creates a pivotal moment alongside Ranveer Singh’s portrayal of Hamza. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sandhu shared insights about his experience working on the film and his interaction with Singh.

Reflecting on his first encounter with Singh, Udaybir described him as a warm and approachable individual. He emphasized that Singh’s supportive nature made acting comfortable and significantly improved their collaborative performance. Udaybir noted that Singh’s feedback was invaluable, allowing him to enhance his portrayal of Pinda. He appreciated Singh’s focus on security in their partnership, a characteristic that sets him apart from many actors who may feel threatened by a co-star’s performance.

During their collaborative scenes, Sandhu highlighted the creative freedom he was given, estimating that approximately 30-40% of his dialogues were improvised. He praised Singh’s commitment, noting that the actor was highly engaged and present on set, further contributing to a relaxed atmosphere conducive to creativity. Udaybir remarked that Singh’s intensity during scenes helped him immensely, making the filming process smoother and more productive.

“Dhurandhar The Revenge,” directed by Aditya Dhar, serves as a spy action thriller that explores the backstory of Jaskirat Singh Rangi, portrayed by Ranveer Singh. The film delves into Hamza Ali Mazari’s journey as he skillfully navigates Pakistan’s underworld. Continuing the narrative from its predecessor, the film chronicles Hamza’s ascent in Lyari’s criminal landscape while striving to dismantle a terror network.

The film features a star-studded cast, including Rakesh Bedi, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt. Since its release, “Dhurandhar The Revenge” has received favorable reviews from both critics and audiences. It has achieved remarkable box office success, grossing over ₹600 crore domestically and surpassing ₹1000 crore worldwide within a week of its debut.
