Dubai Basketball has announced that they will part ways with head coach Jurica Golemac effective immediately. The club expressed gratitude for Golemac’s professionalism and dedication during his tenure.
Golemac was appointed as head coach in the summer of 2024 and has been instrumental in the team’s development, particularly during their inaugural season in the ABA League, where they finished a commendable third after reaching the semifinals.
In the current season, the team faced fresh challenges as they entered the EuroLeague for the first time. Golemac led the squad through 59 games split between the EuroLeague (37 games) and the ABA League (22 games). As of now, Dubai Basketball holds a record of 19–18 in EuroLeague play, ranking 11th with one regular-season game left.
In the ABA League, the team has enjoyed considerable success, standing at 19–3 and sharing the top spot with KK Partizan Belgrade. Jan Šentjurc will take over as interim head coach for the upcoming game against Budućnost.
