Actor Sonali Raut recently posted a shocking video on social media, revealing a severe skin infection attributed to her time on the reality show Bigg Boss Marathi 6. This revelation follows her accusations against the show’s producers for maintaining unhygienic living conditions, prompting heightened scrutiny of the show’s environment.
On April 17, Sonali took to Instagram to express her concerns, stating that her health suffered severely while on the show. She described the ordeal as nightmarish, mentioning exposure to scabies due to unsanitary conditions, as well as living alongside rats and cockroaches in the kitchen. Her post emphasized the need for accountability in reality television, highlighting the risks that contestants face in such environments.
Beyond the visible issues, Sonali indicated that the conditions within the house were worse than what viewers could perceive. Contestants reportedly endured a lack of proper food and were exposed to extreme physical and mental stress. Basic hygiene was severely compromised, with shared towels and razors among participants contributing to her skin infection. In addition to health risks, she emphasized the challenges of sleep deprivation and insufficient meals during her stay on the show.
Previously, Sonali had sent a legal notice to the show’s producers, stating they were responsible for both mental and physical distress. She explained that she contracted scabies due to her living conditions and still experiences health ramifications following her exit from the show.
In her account of life inside the Bigg Boss house, Sonali described a living environment filled with issues, from rodents in the kitchen to the poor maintenance of shared washrooms. These unsanitary circumstances only heightened the health risks for contestants. She also expressed frustration over being left without proper meals and struggling with inadequate sleep, all while being forced to share personal items due to a shortage of hygiene supplies.
Despite her deteriorating health, Sonali claimed that her request for eviction was ignored and that her plea was edited out of the show’s footage. She voiced her disappointment in the platform, asserting that her well-being had been jeopardized. Sonali called for accountability to prevent future contestants from facing similar hardships.
As of now, the producers of Bigg Boss Marathi 6 have not publicly addressed the allegations made by Raut. The show, hosted by Riteish Deshmukh, continues to be available for viewers on JioCinema.
