The renowned German rock band Scorpions has canceled its upcoming shows in India due to unforeseen medical issues affecting its members. The “Coming Home” tour was highly anticipated by fans across the country.
Set to perform at multiple locations including Shillong, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, the band released a statement on Instagram confirming the cancellation. The note expressed regret for the disappointment this decision may cause and reassured fans that all tickets purchased through BookMyShow would be refunded within 7-10 working days.
Scorpions, founded in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker, includes notable members such as vocalist Klaus Meine and guitarist Matthias Jabs. Their last performances in India took place over a decade ago, during tours in 2001 and 2007, which were met with enthusiastic crowds.
The organizers of the tour, BookMyShow Live, stressed the band’s eagerness to return to India for future performances. Jabs previously spoke about the band’s memories from past concerts, expressing anticipation for reuniting with fans in cities like Shillong and Mumbai.
The cancellation of the tour marks a pause for the iconic band, but they remain committed to performing in India when possible.
