Watch: Dubai Police Arrest Motorcycle Rider for Executing Hazardous High-Speed Stunts

Reckless Motorcyclist Arrested in Dubai for Dangerous Stunts

A motorcyclist was apprehended in Dubai following the release of videos on social media that depicted him engaged in hazardous stunts while traveling at high speeds.

Dubai Police shared a brief video clip showcasing the rider, who was masked, maneuvering at unsafe speeds and executing stunts, occasionally letting go of the handlebars, thereby endangering himself and others on the road.

The police have also noted that a monetary fine could be levied for the release of impounded vehicles, with penalties potentially reaching up to Dh50,000 as per Decree No. (30) of 2023 concerning vehicle confiscation.

Earlier in the month, another motorcyclist in Sharjah was detained for performing similar stunts. This action was prompted after videos of the incident were widely shared on social media platforms.

The Traffic and Patrols Department of Sharjah Police arrested a 20-year-old Arab motorcyclist for violating traffic safety regulations and jeopardizing the safety of other road users. The police confirmed that legal steps have been initiated against him.

This year, Sharjah Police have also confiscated 19 vehicles belonging to drivers who showcased reckless stunts on the roads.
