The event was well-attended, showcasing the enthusiasm of her admirers for her music that evokes the era of legendary Arab artists, highlighted by her exceptional performance and voice.
Following the concert, Amaal expressed her immense joy and amazement at the warm reception she received from the audience in Dubai, noting how she wished the event would never end due to her happiness.
She commented, “Performing at the Dubai Opera is a grand experience that made me a bit nervous at the beginning of the show, but the audience was amazing, easing my anxiety and making the concert unforgettable.”
Amaal also shared that she is currently preparing to release her new album in a few days, featuring about 10 to 11 songs in Egyptian dialect. She mentioned that she will take a brief break after this concert in Dubai to focus on the album, apologizing to her fans for her absence.
Regarding future collaborations after her successful duets with artists like Rashid Al-Majed, Majid Al-Muhandis, and Wael Jassar, she stated that she enjoys working with any artist whose voice complements hers. “I cannot pinpoint specific names; the right duet will call out to its artists,” she added.
When asked about the title of “Voice of Egypt” that is often attributed to her, Amaal reflected, “Anyone who represents Egypt is the voice of Egypt.”
She also indicated her willingness to sing in Modern Standard Arabic, having done so in her early career, and she would welcome the opportunity if the right lyrics were available. Amaal expressed her affection for fellow artist Ahlam, calling her “the sweetest heart in the world,” and praised her as a great talent both musically and morally.
Voice, Melody, and Charm
Throughout the two-hour performance, Amaal delighted the audience with a range of exceptional songs, including beloved tracks from iconic Arab artists like Umm Kulthum, Abdel Halim Hafez, and Warda. Some of the songs she performed included:
“They said it will take many days, I am the beginning of your beginning, I adore you, The path of peace, Fear God in me, Am I lying to you, The one who can challenge, I am love, You are my life, How I long for your departure, Give me a chance to understand you, What’s between you and her, If I could wish for myself, and the journey began, I have a friend in this time, You say and walk away.”
Before singing “There’s a Bit of Arrogance in You,” Amaal playfully asked the audience, “Should I sing it, or will the men be upset with me?” to which the crowd unanimously encouraged her to perform the song.
Throughout the concert, Amaal engaged with her fans, responding to their comments and graciously accommodating their song requests, even those she had not prepared beforehand. She sang melodiously without accompaniment, creating a joyful atmosphere and addressing the audience, “You are an uplifting crowd.”
