“Dar Al-Bayan for Publishing” Becomes Silver Sponsor of Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2025

Dar Al Bayan, a publishing house under the Dubai Media Corporation, has announced its participation as a silver sponsor at the 34th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which commences today.

The event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, and will take place from April 26 to May 5, 2025, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi.

This participation in the fair, themed “Knowledge Community… Community Knowledge,” reflects Dar Al Bayan’s commitment to fostering the publishing sector, enriching the local cultural scene, and strengthening collaborations with authors, writers, and publishers. This aligns with the publishing house’s focus on knowledge exchange and cultural dialogue to bolster the creative industries within the country.

Dar Al Bayan will showcase a distinctive pavilion at the fair, highlighting a variety of contemporary methods and advanced technologies it employs to enhance the fields of literature, culture, research, writing, and translation.

The pavilion will feature their latest releases, digital productions, and the digital application, as well as key services offered to authors, writers, and researchers.

Visitors will have the chance to explore the podcast series produced by Dar Al Bayan, which includes a wide array of interviews and inspiring cultural content, along with a selection of digital books created specifically for children to encourage their interest in reading and promote literacy as a vital skill for future generations.

The pavilion will also host several book signing events featuring works from renowned authors and writers published by Dar Al Bayan, as well as offering interactive workshops and special presentations for visitors, highlighting the house’s significance and role as a cultural project that opens new avenues for creativity from Dubai to the world.

In this regard, Saud Al Darbi, Senior Director of Newspapers and News Center at Dubai Media, emphasized the importance of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair in fostering a reading culture within the community. He stated, “Dar Al Bayan takes pride in its sponsorship and presence at this fair, which is one of the leading regional and international platforms in the publishing sector. This sponsorship reflects the extensive efforts to support and empower writers and to build a knowledge-based community.” He further added that the Dubai Media Corporation has selected a team of top experts and talented individuals for the Dar Al Bayan project, aiming to enhance its standing and diverse outputs.

Hamed Bin Karam, the editor-in-chief of Al Bayan, noted that Dar Al Bayan’s participation in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is part of its efforts to promote cultural activity in the UAE and solidify its leadership in the publishing arena.

He remarked, “Dar Al Bayan has prepared a comprehensive program of events and activities rich in meaningful content that enhances cultural and intellectual engagement among audiences. Within its pavilion, it will present a selection of unique printed, digital, and audio publications that focus on the values of Emirati society, the achievements of the nation, and the remarkable successes attained across various fields.” Additionally, the publishing house will showcase several audio-visual books tailored for social media, targeting younger audiences to inspire a lifestyle centered around reading. He also mentioned that Dubai Media Corporation will provide extensive media coverage of all fair activities, reflecting its significance on the global cultural map.

The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, organized by the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, this year hosts 1,400 exhibitors from 96 countries and offers a packed program featuring around 2,000 events and activities designed to cater to the interests of readers, thinkers, publishers, and content creators, enhancing its role as a global platform for cultural dialogue and reflecting the UAE’s strategic vision in investing in culture and supporting the book and publishing industries.
