Working Age Population in Dubai Reaches 79.6%

Recent data from the Dubai Data and Statistics Foundation reveals that 79.65% of the emirate’s population of working age, specifically those between the ages of 20 and 59, totals 3,077,701 individuals. This statistic is part of the overall population of Dubai, which is expected to reach 3,863,600 by the end of 2024.

Among those of working age, the male population stands at 2,647,900, while females account for 1,215,700, representing approximately 68.53% and 31.47% of the total population, respectively.

These figures reflect the dynamic nature of Dubai and the rapid economic growth the emirate is currently experiencing.

Age Distribution

Approximately 58.69% of the population falls within the age range of 25 to 44 years. The age group of 30 to 34 years ranks highest, with 694,633 individuals, making up 17.97% of the total population. Following this, the 25 to 29 age group contains 642,657 individuals, or 16.63% of the population.

The age group of 35 to 39 comes in third, with a population of 517,936 individuals, representing 13.40% of Dubai’s total residents.

The data also indicates that there are 567,287 children aged 0 to 14 years, comprising 14.68% of the population, with 5.23% being under five years old.

Furthermore, the population aged 60 to 74 years stands at 79,714, which represents 2.06% of the total, while those over 75 years number 12,476, accounting for 0.32% of the population.

Quality of Life

The data suggests that Dubai’s community is youthful and continuously evolving, reflecting the administration’s deliberate strategy for development, future planning, and the enhancement of life quality within the emirate. This is in alignment with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, who prioritizes the well-being and happiness of both citizens and residents as well as visitors. The government is dedicated to fulfilling the aspirations for Dubai’s future and establishing its position in global competitiveness by consistently improving infrastructure and services to ensure sustainable development.
