Hamdan Bin Zayed Reviews Updates on the National Railway Project

Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the representative of the Abu Dhabi Governor in the Al Dhafra region, welcomed a delegation from Etihad Rail, led by CEO Shadi Malik, at the Al Dhafra Palace.

This meeting underscores Sheikh Hamdan’s ongoing commitment to monitoring strategic national projects and his continuous support for infrastructure development initiatives within the country. During the meeting, he received a comprehensive update on the UAE National Rail Network project, which stands as one of the largest strategic transportation initiatives in the nation, aimed at linking various emirates with a modern and secure network to enhance economic and social integration.

The delegation presented the completed phases of the project, particularly in the Al Dhafra region, along with future expansion plans that include connections with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The meeting also highlighted the environmental and economic advantages of the project, such as the reduction of carbon emissions and the promotion of sustainability through eco-friendly transportation solutions. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the efforts of the teams at Etihad Rail.

He commended their high efficiency and dedication to executing this vital project in accordance with the highest global standards, emphasizing its importance in supporting comprehensive development and realizing the UAE’s vision for the future. Present at the meeting was Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, the Deputy of the Abu Dhabi Governor in the Al Dhafra region, along with several officials.
