ASTANA – The national railway entity of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, has successfully sent out its inaugural train loaded with Kazakh wheat to the Jebel Ali port in the United Arab Emirates. This operation, executed in collaboration with cargo trader IK Trading, represents a significant advancement in enhancing trade and economic ties between the two nations.
The transportation route traverses through Turkmenistan and Iran, with a subsequent transshipment taking place at the Bandar Abbas port before reaching the UAE by sea. The journey is estimated to take about 18 days.
This initiative marks a pivotal development in the establishment of logistics pathways connecting Eurasia with the Middle East, as highlighted by the company’s press office on May 12.
