The Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) in Dubai showcased its latest projects at the ongoing Global Police Summit in Dubai Exhibition Centre. This is their second participation, emphasizing their commitment to enhancing collaboration among security entities, thus contributing to Dubai’s vision for a safer and more sustainable community.
As part of their proactive engagement in prominent international security forums, SIRA introduced the “Muraqib” program, one of the cutting-edge technological initiatives developed by their Projects Division. The program is designed to secure and monitor the transportation of hazardous materials within Dubai.
This comprehensive system includes an advanced tracking device, high-definition surveillance cameras, and smart electronic locks, along with a central operations room that oversees and controls the movement of shipments. This new system represents a significant upgrade over the previous method, which required an additional security vehicle to accompany hazardous material transport trucks.
The “Muraqib” program marks a shift towards reducing reliance on human resources while enhancing operational control and efficiency, ultimately improving security levels and achieving notable operational savings. The initial implementation will focus on the transportation of fireworks within the emirate, with plans to expand to other sensitive cargo types in the future.
The launch of this system at the Global Police Summit highlights SIRA’s dedication to leveraging the latest technologies for public safety and enhancing the integration of roles between various security and police sectors. It reflects a broader trend of adopting smart solutions and modern technological systems that align with Dubai’s aspirations to be a global leader in security and safety management.
Additionally, the agency’s booth prominently featured the Security and Safety Professionals Association, which operates within the “SIRA” platform. This association is a professional network aimed at fostering communication and knowledge exchange among security professionals across various levels.
The association offers its members a host of exclusive services and benefits, including advanced training programs, representation at local and international forums, and opportunities for professional development, enabling members to stay updated with the latest innovations and global standards in the security field.
The association welcomes all licensed security personnel in the country, as well as professionals from international organizations and global companies, provided they possess valid security licenses that allow them to join and benefit from its services.
