Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva stated on Wednesday that he intends to encourage Vladimir Putin to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, in Turkey as part of discussions regarding the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
During a press conference in Beijing, prior to his stop in Moscow on his way back to Brazil, Lula remarked, “I will try to speak with Putin. It won’t cost me anything to suggest to him: Comrade Putin, go to Istanbul to negotiate.
