A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck northern Egypt early this morning.
According to a statement from the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research in Egypt, the epicenter was located 431 kilometers north of the city of Rasheed in the Beheira Governorate, at a depth of 76 kilometers.
The report emphasized that there have been no reports so far regarding casualties or damage to property resulting from the earthquake.
