Fahd Mohammed Wali Karamstaji, the Director of Institutional Communication at the Abu Dhabi Government Academy, emphasized that the academy’s participation in the Global Police Summit reflects its commitment to enhancing the framework of security and police education, as well as developing national capabilities in safety, security, defense, and emergency preparedness. This aligns with the global trends of the fifth industrial revolution and the summit’s theme, “Designing the Future of Policing.”

Established in 2013 through a decree from the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the academy offers a variety of academic and professional programs, including diploma, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees, along with over 100 specialized training courses in security. The academy also manages a campus within the Zayed Military University to train recruits through a program that combines academic education and military training.

Karamstaji noted that the academy utilizes cutting-edge technologies in security education, such as virtual reality systems for training students in crime scene management and complex criminal case analysis. Additionally, artificial intelligence is employed to interpret events and support intelligence analysis, highlighting the academy’s proactive approach to integrating AI into its curriculum. This initiative aligns with the nation’s objectives to prepare a workforce capable of addressing future challenges.

The academy maintains a broad network of strategic and academic partnerships with the Ministries of Defense and Interior, Abu Dhabi Police, Dubai Police, Interpol, and other global security entities. Its team comprises experts from over 40 nationalities. Recently, the academy launched the “Rubdan Center for Security and Defense,” a research institution focusing on security studies, defense, and future technologies.

Currently, more than 900 students from various nationalities, primarily affiliated with military organizations, are enrolled at the academy, studying in civilian capacities. The employment rate among graduates exceeds 96%, reflecting the confidence that security institutions place in the academy and its outputs.

The academy also facilitates student exchange opportunities with international educational institutions specializing in security, which enhances students’ experiences and opens up global prospects for them.

In this context, the academy is dedicated to contributing to the development of the security and policing system at both local and regional levels by training capable personnel prepared to ensure community safety and stability.
