Public schools across various regions are launching an initiative to update student data, following directives from the Ministry of Education. This effort aims to ensure the accuracy of information recorded in official systems and to align it with established standards.
School administrations have disseminated guidance messages to parents through official channels and social media platforms, urging them to provide the necessary original documents within a specified timeframe.
Parents are required to present the original and a copy of the birth certificate for Emirati students, ensuring that the registration number is included, along with a copy of the student’s passport and identity card. Additionally, mothers of Emirati students must provide their own passport and identity to complete the update requirements.
For children of female citizens, further documentation is required, including a birth certificate, a copy of the student’s passport, and a copy of the mother’s passport and identity card, due to the procedure related to the registration system. School administrations emphasized that these steps are essential for ensuring the accuracy and correctness of the information within the Ministry’s systems, which contributes to enhancing the educational and administrative services available to students and their families.
Schools highlighted the importance of adhering to the specified deadlines. In the case that a parent is unable to attend for any urgent reason, they may authorize the student to bring the documents to the student affairs office within the school, along with the approved contact numbers of both parents.
A recent passport-sized photo of the student must also be submitted. School administrations reiterated that this update is vital for preparing data for various academic and administrative purposes, such as enrollment, transfer processes, and providing educational, health, and social support services to students.
The guidelines indicated that if the data update was completed earlier in the current academic year, parents are not required to resend documents unless there are significant changes in the student’s information.
This initiative reflects the Ministry of Education’s commitment to enhancing the efficiency of the central student database and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies, which aims to streamline administrative procedures and deliver high-quality educational services.
