Public schools across various regions have initiated a campaign to update student data, following directives from the Ministry of Education. This initiative aims to ensure the accuracy of recorded information in official systems by aligning it with established standards.
School administrations have disseminated guidance messages to parents through official channels and social media platforms, requesting them to provide the required original documents within a specified timeframe.
Parents are urged to bring the original and a copy of the birth certificate for Emirati students, ensuring that the certificate number is included, alongside a copy of the student’s passport and identification. Additionally, mothers of Emirati children are requested to present their own passport and ID to complete the updating process.
For children of Emirati mothers, further requirements include a birth certificate, a copy of the student’s passport, and copies of the mother’s passport and ID, which are necessary due to the registration procedures involved. School administrations emphasized that these measures are meant to verify the accuracy and integrity of the data entered into the ministry’s systems, ultimately enhancing the educational and administrative services provided to students and their families.
Schools stressed the importance of adhering to the specified dates. In cases where a parent cannot attend due to an emergency, they may authorize the student to bring the documents to the student affairs office, ensuring that the parent’s contact numbers are included.
A recent photograph of the student is also required. Schools affirmed that this update is a necessary procedure to prepare the data for various academic and administrative purposes, such as enrollment processes, transfers, and the provision of educational, health, and social support services for students.
Guidelines also indicated that if the data update was completed during the current academic year, parents are not required to resend documents unless there are significant changes in the student’s information.
This initiative reflects the Ministry of Education’s commitment to enhancing the efficiency of the centralized student database, ensuring compliance with current regulations and policies, which facilitates administrative processes and delivers high-quality educational services.
