A recent study has found that chimpanzees not only engage in self-healing but also provide care for their fellow members.
Researchers observed two chimpanzee communities: “Sunsu” and “Waibera.”
In total, 41 instances of care were documented, which included 34 cases of self-treatment and 7 instances of social care. The latter involved activities such as cleaning wounds and applying chewed leaves or plant materials.
