A radar user recently recorded a traffic violation involving a duck flying at excessive speed in central Switzerland. Local authorities indicated that the bird might be familiar with this kind of “offense.”
The police in the town of Köniz, near the capital Bern, were taken aback when they discovered, while reviewing recently captured radar images, that a wild duck was among those identified by the speed monitoring system, as reported by the municipality on its Facebook page over the weekend.
According to the municipality, the wild duck was flying at a speed of 52 kilometers per hour in an area where the speed limit is set at 30 kilometers per hour.
