Mansour Bin Zayed Attends Lunch Hosted by Sultan Bin Hamdan

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, attended a luncheon hosted by His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the UAE and Head of the Camel Racing Federation, in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi. The event was graced by several prominent camel owners from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

During the gathering, Sheikh Mansour engaged in friendly conversations with the attendees, emphasizing the significance of camel racing and the vital role of the annual concluding festival, “Al Wathba Final 2025,” in bolstering the status of this traditional sport. He noted that it has become one of the most important festivals in the region, achieving consistent success across various aspects.

He also visited the new camel racing track in Al Wathba, which spans 8 kilometers and was inaugurated in conjunction with the launch of the Al Wathba Final 2025. This project was completed in just 60 days under his direct supervision, marking a significant advancement for the camel racing sport.

Sheikh Mansour praised the infrastructure of the new track, affirming that the growth and popularity of camel racing are attributed to the support and sponsorship of the wise leadership, which has positioned it as one of the leading traditional sports cherished by enthusiasts of this rich heritage.

The reception featured traditional performances and folk songs by heritage groups, celebrating the presence of Sheikh Mansour in a display that reflected pride in the authentic cultural heritage and exhibited a spirit of welcome and appreciation.
