Discussion on the Approval of the Union’s Final Account Bill

The Financial, Economic, and Industrial Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council held a virtual meeting yesterday, chaired by Saeed Rashid Al-Aabed, to discuss a federal law proposal regarding the approval of the consolidated financial statements for the federation for the fiscal year ending on December 31, 2024.

Present at the meeting were committee rapporteur Khalid Omar Al-Khurgi, Dr. Tariq Hamid Al-Tayer, the first deputy chairman of the council, along with committee members Aisha Rashid Laytim, Dr. Marwan Obaid Al-Mehairi, Mona Khalifa Hamad, and Mira Sultan Al-Suwaidi.

The proposed legislation includes two articles: the endorsement of the consolidated financial statements for the federation and the accompanying notes, along with a report on the execution of the federation’s general budget, as well as provisions related to the publication of the law and its effective date.
